The article "Electronic skin points the way north" from
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/11/181115104554.htm by Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf was published in November 15, 2018. The article talks about how researchers built a electric skin with magnetism capable enough to sense the earth's magnetic field. The electric skin has sensors that detect magnetic fields and be able to feel things. They built a video game simulation of a panda to test out the capabilities of electric skin. When the hand with the electric skin does a motion, so does the panda. This invention has the possibility of helping many fields like phycology which test a human's ability to sense things from the world around them.
I think that is a wonderful invention. It can help millions of people who have defective or no skin at all by helping them feel the world around them and protecting their insides of their body. If this technology advances further, we might no even have to have real organic skin anymore. The electric skin would be better in every way, shape, and form. Why would it not? I don't think we will be better than technology soon in the future due to all of these advancements in science and technology.
