The Article "How Close Are We to Kubrick's AI-Controlled Vision of the Future?" from https://www.livescience.com/63859-2001-movie-50th-anniversary-ai.html was published in October 16, 2018. The article talks about close artificial intelligence (A.I.) is to an A.I. that resembles the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" in 1968 by Warner Bros. Pictures. The article expresses concerns that A.I is very close to having an autonomous A.I. that can think for itself. The article makes comparisons to the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" in 1968 by Warner Bros. Pictures. and the near future where we might have autonomous A.I. The article ends with a mood filled with suspense to it as it points out that we have yet to know what lies in store for the future.
I find that it is very alarming that A.I. will advance to a stage where humans are unable to be more than a robot. I think that we should put safety measures in case of accidents of A.I. going haywire. A.I could spell the end of the human race if not properly handled as Stephen Hawking has been quoted for that similar statement. I am however a supporter of using robots autonomous or not, for war instead of humans. That would decrease human lives lost and increase world population.
